Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. All treatments begin with a comprehensive consultation to review your goals, medical history, facial anatomy, and to create a personalized treatment plan focused on balance, safety, and natural results.

A $200 consultation fee is required at the time of booking. This fee may only be applied toward treatments performed on the same day as the consultation. The consultation fee is not transferable to future appointments.

This structure allows dedicated time for in-depth assessment, education, and treatment planning while ensuring availability for patients who are ready to proceed.

If treatment is performed the same day, the consultation fee is applied toward your service total. If no treatment is performed, the consultation fee covers the time, expertise, and clinical evaluation provided during your visit.

  • Dysport is a prescription neuromodulator made from botulinum toxin type A. It works by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. By softening muscle movement, Dysport smooths the skin while still allowing natural expression when properly dosed.

Dysport tends to have a faster onset than Botox for many patients, often beginning to take effect within 2 to 3 days, with full results visible by about 2 weeks. Dysport also contains more toxin units per vial, which is why dosing is measured differently than Botox.

Results typically begin to appear within 2 to 5 days, with full results seen around 2 weeks. Dysport generally lasts 3 months, depending on metabolism, muscle strength, and dosing.

  • Dysport and Botox are both FDA approved neuromodulators derived from botulinum toxin type A and work in similar ways, but they are not dosed the same.

Dysport units are smaller than Botox units. On average, three units of Dysport equal one unit of Botox. This means more Dysport units are required to achieve the same clinical effect, even though the overall muscle relaxation is comparable.

    Examples of equivalent dosing:
    • 20 units of Botox equals approximately 60 units of Dysport
    • 30 units of Botox equals approximately 90 units of Dysport
    • 40 units of Botox equals approximately 120 units of Dysport

This difference in unit measurement does not mean Dysport is weaker or stronger. It simply reflects how each product is manufactured and measured.

Dysport also tends to spread slightly more in the tissue, which can be beneficial for larger areas such as the forehead and can contribute to a softer, more natural appearance when placed appropriately.

  • Sculptra is a biostimulatory injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid that works by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production. Rather than acting as a traditional filler that simply adds volume, Sculptra improves the underlying structure and quality of the skin over time.

Patients often notice improved skin thickness, firmness, elasticity, and an overall healthy glow as new collagen develops. Skin appears smoother, more radiant, and more resilient, with results that look natural and gradual.

  • No. Sculptra does not create instant volume like hyaluronic acid fillers. It works gradually, allowing your face to restore its own collagen in a balanced, natural way. This approach helps avoid an overfilled appearance and supports long-term facial harmony.

  • The Sculptra glow refers to the improvement in overall skin quality that patients notice as collagen builds. Skin often looks brighter, smoother, firmer, and more youthful, not filled or altered. This glow continues to improve over time as collagen remodeling occurs.

  • You may notice temporary fullness immediately after treatment due to the sterile water used for injection, but this subsides within a few days. True results appear gradually as collagen is produced, typically starting around 6 to 8 weeks after treatment.

  • PRF stands for Platelet-Rich Fibrin. It is a natural regenerative treatment created from your own blood. After a small blood draw, your platelets and growth factors are concentrated and injected or applied to the skin to improve texture, tone, elasticity, and healing.

PRF is commonly used for under-eye rejuvenation, facial skin quality, hair restoration, and post-procedure healing.

  • PRF is considered a next-generation version of PRP. PRF contains a higher concentration of growth factors, no anticoagulants, and releases healing signals more slowly and naturally over time. This leads to longer-lasting regenerative effects.

  • PRF EZ Gel is an advanced regenerative injectable created entirely from your own blood. It combines platelet-rich fibrin and natural albumin to restore subtle volume, improve skin quality, and stimulate collagen production over time. Because it is autologous, meaning it comes from your own body, it is highly biocompatible and ideal for delicate facial areas.

During treatment, two small vials of blood are drawn. One vial is spun and gently heated to activate the albumin, which creates the gel structure. The second vial is spun and cooled to preserve the platelet-rich fibrin and its growth factors. These components are then combined to form PRF EZ Gel, providing immediate structural support while stimulating natural collagen production.

PRF EZ Gel is most commonly used in the under eyes, smile lines, marionette lines, and chin shadow, where natural rejuvenation and skin quality improvement are desired.

Mild to moderate swelling is expected for a few days after treatment and is a normal part of the regenerative process. Bruising may occur but is not guaranteed. Collagen building begins shortly after treatment and continues for approximately three weeks, leading to gradual improvement in skin texture, firmness, and overall radiance.

For best results, PRF EZ Gel is performed as a series of 3 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance is individualized, but many patients benefit from a maintenance treatment approximately every 6 months to support ongoing collagen production and skin quality.

  • At Balanced Aesthetics and Wellness, my approach to filler is based on full facial balancing, not selling syringes. Filler pricing is determined by the area treated, rather than the amount of product used.

Each area of the face has unique anatomy, injection technique, and level of risk. When you invest in a specific area, you are paying for my experience, clinical judgment, and the safety required to treat that region appropriately, not just the syringe itself.

Because of this, any area that receives filler is billed at that area’s listed rate. If a syringe is shared across multiple areas, each area treated is added to the total.

    Example:
If one syringe is used in both the chin and the mid-cheeks, the total reflects both areas.
    Chin: $950
    Mid-cheeks: $950
    Total: $1,900

If an area requires more than one syringe to achieve optimal balance and support, the investment increases based on that area’s listed price.

    Example:
If the chin requires two syringes and the chin treatment is listed at $950, the total is calculated as $950 x 2, for a total of $1,900.

This pricing structure allows treatment plans to remain focused on facial harmony, safety, and natural results, rather than limiting outcomes based on a single syringe.

  • Every face is different. During your consultation, we assess facial anatomy, muscle strength, volume loss, and aesthetic goals to create a personalized treatment plan. Recommendations are based on balance, safety, and natural-looking results, not one-size-fits-all dosing.
